The Taylor K26CE features a Grand Symphony format sound box, which is slightly larger than a Grand Auditorium. After its introduction in 2006, Bob Taylor's design was modified by Andy Powers in 2020. For example, the guitar was equipped with V-Class Bracing and it got a Soundport Cutaway, a construction in which the higher frets are easily accessible while the back of the sound box remains intact.
